CovLUG meetings schedule

CovLUG holds regular social meetings on the 1st Tuesday of every month beginning with a relaxed meal at the Varsity near the Council House in Coventry City Centre. The evening usually begins between 6.30 and 7.00pm. Bonuses over our previous location include better service, a discount card card for beer and free WiFi.
If you would like to join us for a meal, please try to arrive before 7.00pm so all orders can be placed together. If you are not eating, please feel free to join us at any point during the evening.
We have an area reserved on the 1st floor, go up the stairs, forward and then round to the right. We are located at the front of the building. To help you spot us, Tux is usually on the table and there is an A4 sized poster outside the area.
After the meal, usually around 9.00pm, we adjorn to another pub. This is often Whitefriars at the top of Gosford Street, but is best to check via the mailing list if you are planning on coming this late.
Meetings usually follow an informal style, sometimes we even talk about Linux!
We hold an informal Technical meeting on the third Tuesday of the month, sometimes with a guest speaker but sometimes one of the group speaks on a subject of interest. Topics have included an introduction to TCP/IP and ethernet, Perl and Voice over IP. We hope to get some speakers from some of commercial Linux vendors.
The meetings marked Coventry University below are held in the Hillman/Humber Lecture Theatres, (Marked no.5 on the map), please see http://www.coventry.ac.uk/interactivemap#map. The outside door will have a poster on.
