Mailing List
CovLUG has two mailings lists tech and chat where our on-line discussion takes place and are our main means of communication.
You are welcome to subscribe to either or both lists, we recommend both - posts are not duplicated between the lists. Note there are children on the lists so please post responsibly.
Subscribe to tech
- Send an email to majordomo@lists.covlug.org.uk with the BODY of the email as: subscribe tech.
- You will next receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription, you must reply to this email else you will not be added to the mailing list.
If you do not see the email check your junk or spam mail folders, it may be in there!

To Unsubscribe

The tech list is the place to get help with Linux, Open Source software or any other topics related to F/LOSS. Questions, requests for help and general advice should be posted here. This list is archived.
The chat list should be used for all off-topic messages and general chat amongst the LUG members - including arrangements of social or beer meetings. Everything which is not suitable on the 'tech' list should be posted here. This list is not archived.
Both lists are unmoderated, but good manners are expected from all users. Guidelines will be mailed to you when you subscribe - make sure you read them!

No HTML
The use of HTML formatted email is strongly discouraged, if you think HTML in email is useful, pretty, cool or helps layout, read this page http://www.covlug.org.uk/archive/covlug2008Aug23/html-bad.html.
Neither mailing list will accept posts which contain ANY html part - this includes posts completely HTML encoded or posts with a plain text and HTML encoded part - please check your mail settings BEFORE trying to post.
